Paris Under Attack, …Again!

by Spike Bowan  |  Published on June 20, 2017

It would seem that France is still under siege. The threat of terror is very real and imminent despite the politicians and leftist Islamist apologists and media.

A suspect who tried to attack security forces on the Champs-Elysees shopping district in Paris Monday afternoon, when he rammed his car into a police van — had a rifle and explosives in his vehicle, French investigators said.

The attacker died shortly after the incident, the French interior minister said. The attacker, a 33-year-old man, was badly burned after his car exploded when he deliberately crashed it into a police van. The police van caught fire, but it was quickly contained, officials said. The bomb squad was called to the scene.

Authorities discovered a gas tank and an AK-47 rife in the attacker’s car, Fox News confirmed. The man was known by police and was under surveillance, Pierre-Henry Brandet, a spokesman for the interior ministry, told Fox News.

France is under a state of emergency after a string of deadly Islamic extremist attacks. An attacker defending the Islamic State terror group shot and killed a police officer on the Champs-Elysees in April, days before a presidential election, prompting an extensive security operation.

Champs-Elysees is Paris’ most popular avenue and one of the city’s popular tourist attraction. This was the second incident on the avenue this year. An attacker defending the Islamic State terror group shot and killed a police officer on the Champs-Elysees in April, days before a presidential election, prompting an extensive security operation. France is under a state of emergency after a string of deadly Islamic extremist attacks.

The incident also came after a van mowed down several people leaving a London mosque just after midnight on Monday. Several people were hurt after a van slammed into a crowd — including worshippers leaving a mosque — on a road in north London around midnight Sunday night, witnesses said, as police added that one person was arrested.

During midnight Ramadan prayers at the Finsbury Park mosque, Paramedics rushed at least one person away in an ambulance, Reuters reported after a driver ran through a crowd of people that were just leaving worship.

Officers were called to the scene of the “major incident” on Seven Sisters Road at 12:20 a.m. Monday, Metropolitan Police said. The London Ambulance Service said it was responding to the incident.

Britain’s terrorist alert has been set at “severe” meaning an attack is highly likely.

“Our priority is to assess the level and nature of injuries and ensure those in the most need are treated first and taken to hospital,” the London Ambulance Service announced early Monday according to Fox News.

Reports emerge that a man leapt out of the van with a knife outside a Muslim center after which at least one person was stabbed.

One witness called Mohammed said there were “definitely five” people lying on the ground after the van struck people. He said the driver was white.

There are no confirmed reports as of yet, that this was a blatant attack against Muslims. The incident is described as near to Finsbury Park station and the mosque, with pictures on social media suggesting it occurred at the entrance to Whadcoat Street.

Dozens of police, fire and ambulance service vehicles have been sent to the area, armed officers are on the scene and a helicopter is overhead.

The Met Police said in a statement: “Police were called just after 0020hrs 18 June to reports of a vehicle in collision with pedestrians.

With two such attacks, one in England against Muslims, and now one in France against non-Muslims, it is a safe assumption that this is merely the beginning.
