It Was Only a Matter Of Time.

One arrested after van plows into crowd outside mosque, injuring 10 and stoking fears.

Several people were hurt after a van slammed into a crowd — including worshippers leaving a mosque — on a road in north London around midnight Sunday night, witnesses said, as police added that one person was arrested.

Witnesses told Sky News that the driver, described as a white man, appeared to hit the crowd “deliberately.” The crash immediately raised concerns of another terrorist attack in London; however, police did not reveal the possible cause Fox News reported.

During midnight Ramadan prayers at the Finsbury Park mosque, Paramedics rushed at least one person away in an ambulance, Reuters reported after a driver ran through a crowd of people that were just leaving worship.

Officers were called to the scene of the “major incident” on Seven Sisters Road at 12:20 a.m. Monday, Metropolitan Police said. The London Ambulance Service said it was responding to the incident.

Britain’s terrorist alert has been set at “severe” meaning an attack is highly likely.

“Our priority is to assess the level and nature of injuries and ensure those in the most need are treated first and taken to hospital,” the London Ambulance Service announced early Monday according to Fox News.

Reports emerge that a man leapt out of the van with a knife outside a Muslim center after which at least one person was stabbed.

Video images of the scene seen by Sky News show a number of people on the ground with what appear to be a variety of injuries, some of whom look like they are seriously hurt.

The incident is described as near to Finsbury Park station and the mosque, with pictures on social media suggesting it occurred at the entrance to Whadcoat Street.

Dozens of police, fire and ambulance service vehicles have been sent to the area, armed officers are on the scene and a helicopter is overhead.

The Met Police said in a statement: “Police were called just after 0020hrs 18 June to reports of a vehicle in collision with pedestrians.

There have been some angry scenes from locals – with one man shouting at police officers.

He claimed it took them one hour to arrive at the scene while “someone bled to death”.

One witness called Mohammed said there were “definitely five” people lying on the ground after the van struck people. He said the driver was white.

There are no confirmed reports as of yet, that this was a blatant attack against Muslims. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was.

With years of attacks against non-Muslims, how long was it going to take before somebody struck back?

The War on non-Muslim’s, has been waging in full throttle for the better part of a decade. Beheadings, setting on fire, extreme torture, the use of non-Muslim’s as target practice by radical jihadis, terror attack after terror attack…; this couldn’t have been unexpected. It was only a matter of time before some non-Muslim struck back, dealing a blow against what they feel is a threat to very human existence.

The investigation is ongoing, and only time will tell as to how this whole series of events will unfold. Was this an attack on Muslims? Was this an isolated incident? Will this be the last we here of people leaving a mosque and being attacked?

My gut tells me “NO!” sadly. I fear that this is only the beginning, and that things are going to escalate to a monumental scale between the Muslim world and the rest of us.
